Former USDA official files to run for Sen. Roger Marshall's seat as a Democrat

• Former Democratic congressional candidate Christy Davis has filed to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Roger Marshall.

• Davis previously ran for Kansas's 1st congressional district in 2020, losing in the Democratic primary.

• Two other Democrats, Anne Parelkar and Michael Soetaert, have also launched campaigns or filed paperwork for the Senate race.

• Davis criticized Marshall's alignment with the Trump administration during a protest in June.
